मऊ​. भूत-प्रेत की कहानियां को बचपन से हम अक्सर हम अपने दादा दादी , या फिर नाना नानी से सुनते चले आ रहे है। पर मऊ के अस्पताल वाले भूत के बारे में दावा किया जाता है कि यह किस्सा नहीं बल्कि सच्चाई है। इसी से समझा जा सकता है कि आज भी शाम होने पर गांव में बच्चों को अस्पताल वाले भूत से डराकर चुप कराया जाता है। लोग भी कहते हैं कि वहां से ऐसी आवाजें आती हैं कि गांव के लोगों के लिये रात काटना मुश्किल हो जाता है। किसी में आज तक हिम्मत नहीं हुई कि वह अस्पताल में जाकर देखे कि कराहने की और खौफनाक आवाजें कहां से आती हैं।

ये है पूरी कहानी

मऊ जिले के परदहा ब्लाक अन्तर्गत रैनी गांव में में बना सरकारी स्वास्थ्य केन्द्र अस्पताल खण्डहर की तरह खड़ा है। यहां का मंजर झाड़ियों और खण्डहर के चलते डरावना लगता है। दिन में भी लोग इस रास्ते से गुजरने से डरते हैं। घनी झाड़ियों के बावजूद रास्ता इतना साफ दिखता है जैसे अभी किसी ने साफ किया हो, जबकि बताते हैं कि वहां सफाई नहीं होती।

गांव वालों की माने तो अगर दिन के 12 बजे अस्पताल के पास के कोई गुजरा तो उसकी हालत खराब हो जाती है। कई बार तो लोगों को लगता है कि अस्पताल में खूब भीड है और लोगों के रोने की आवाजें आती हैं। यही नहीं खौफ इस बात से भी होता है कि पक्षी भी इस खण्डहर और इसकी दीवारों पर नहीं बैठते।

सूरज डूबते गांव के लोग उस रास्ते को सुनसान छोड़ देते हैं। अगर बहुत मजबूरी हुई तो वहां से झुण्ड बनाकर गुजरते हैं। उन्हें हर समय इस बात का डर लगा रहता है कि किसी भूत का साया न पड़ जाए। रैनी गांव के लोग ऐसे ही रहते हैं। यह भी दावा किया जाता है कि आधी रात के समय उल्लुओं के रोने की आवाजें आती हैं। आवाजों को सुनकर ऐसा लगता है जैसे किसी ने पिघला हुआ सीसा कान में डाल दिया है।

रात होती है तो गांव वाले किसी इंतजार करते हैं कि किसी तरह से यह रात कटे और सुबह हो, क्योंकि उन्हें गांव की रात डाराती है। वह रात में दहशत में रहते हैं। गांव के लोग कहते हैं कि ऐसा लगता है जैसे रात कटती ही नहीं।

यह भी दावा किया जाता है कि कभी-कभी अस्पताल कि खिडकी से रोशनी आती दिखायी पडती है। वहां से कराहने की आवाजें सुनायी पड़ती हैं। गांव के लोगों की मानें तो ये आवाजें लम्बे समय से आती हैं पर किसी में हिम्मत नहीं कि वो वहां जाकर देखे। इसकी पड़ताल करे। गांव के लोगों का कहना है कि जिस रात अस्पताल से रोने की आवाजें आती हैं उसके दूसरे दिन गांव में जैसे मरघट का सन्नाटा छाया रहता है। हर किसी को इस बात का डर लगा रहता है कि कहीं कोई घटना न हो जाए।

अस्पताल के भूत का सच

गांव के रहने वाले 75 साल के केदार बताते है कि अस्पताल ग्रामीणों को इलाज की सुविधा के लिये बना था। पर क्या पता था कि इस अस्पताल में जिंदों का नहीं मुर्दों का इलाज होगा। केदार बताते हैं कि बात पुश्तों की है। जब गांव में रहने वाले दो पट्टीदारों के बीच आपसी लड़ाई हुई तो एक की मौत इलाज के अभाव में हो गयी। पर इसके कुछ दिनों बाद गांव में उन्हें इसी स्थान पर बैठे देखे जाने की बातें कही जाने लगीं। कहा जाता है कि वह किसी से कुछ बोलते नहीं। पर बचाव-बचाव की आवाजें जरूर आतीं।

किसी की हिम्मत नहीं होती कि वहां जाए। इस घटना के कुछ दिन बाद उनका पड़ोसी भी गांव छोड़कर गया और उस परिवार का आज तक पता नहीं कहां चले गए। उसके बाद से जिनकी मौत हुयी वह कभी यहां या फिर गांव के आसपास नहीं दिखायी पड़े। पर 1982 में जब पर यह चिकित्सा उपकेन्द्र बनकर तैयार हुआ तो कुछ दिन बाद ही टूटने-फूटने की आवाजें आने लगीं। कुछ दिन तो लोगों ने नजर अंदाज किया। पर बात में ये बढ़ता गया।

यहां तक बताया कि जब अस्पताल के डॉक्टर चले जाते तो रात में अस्पताल का दरवाजा अपने आप खुल जाता। कुछ दिनों तक ऐसा लगा कि लापरवाही में डाक्टर से खुला रह गया होगा। पर थोड़े दिनों बाद जब यह घटना सही लगने लगी तो रात के समय तेज रोने की आवाजें भी सुनायी पड़ने लगीं। अस्पताल के डाक्टर भी परेशान हो गए। इसके बाद से जबसे अस्पताल बना है बंद ही चल रहा है। अस्पताल दिखने में नया जैसा लगता है पर अंदर सारे मेडिकल उपकरण बेकार पड़े हैं। गांव के लोगों का दावा है कि इन सामानों से भूतों का इलाज होता है।

कर्मचारी गांव में तो आती है पर अस्पताल नहीं जाती

ग्राम प्रधान मुकेश राय बताते है कि यहां पर वर्तमान में तैनात मेडिकल विभाग की मेडवाइफ यहां कभी नहीं आती। प्रधान की बातें सुनने के बाद जब पड़ताल की गयी तो अस्पताल की बिल्डिंग के आसपास तक यहां तक कि दरवाजे के पास भी लोगों के मलमूत्र फैले हुए थे। वहां जाना भी कठिन था गंदगी के चलते। उपकेन्द्र पर तैनात मेडवाइफ गांव में तो आती है पर अस्पताल नहीं जाती क्योंकि लोग कहते हैं कि वहां भूत रहता है।
